Have you checked your dentist's teeth? Mine had crazy teeth. I told my friend that and he said that "Tera doctor subah sheeshe ke saamne baith ke apne daant dekh ke decide karta hoga ki patients ko kya kya nahi karna chahiye." :/

Six months? Ugh. So after six months it'll decide to move itself and go somewhere else so it can be removed? Or will the sinus move? Anyway, you can't really argue with doctors. Much less when they have the surname that your doctor does. :P

Good thing that you decided not to stay completely offline. Best decision you ever took in your life, in fact. :P

Textual echo sounds just like Rihanna's fake echo effect in that Umbrella song. Under my Umbarelle-ella-ella-ella-ella ae ae ae. Hmm.

No, I wasn't intelligent enough to miss the Wimbledon final to watch IIFA. And Thank God for that, because that match was god-awesome! And I don't like IIFA because the Bachchans are associated with it. I only think Abhishek is okay, the other two annoy me a lot. Neil Nitin Mukesh looks good clean shaven, yeah. I haven't seen the movie but I noted that in the ad's. He's way too fair. He would've fitted so well into the Americans if it wasn't for his sharp features. Katrina was looking good too, yea. John showed more than 2 expressions? Whoa, I gotta see this movie now.

It's good that you've decided to indulge in your leisure. I've more than given most of mine up, blogging being one of them too.

You recently realised how huge a Bollywood buff you are? Come on dude, you've got to be fucking kidding me. You've been going on with those song lines and love for Hrithik posts for ages. Surely you knew that already.

LMAO, very funny. The description of the cinema reminds me of this time me and my friend went to watch Pirates of the Carribean in this old cheap ass theater because we didn't have the money. At least your theater shows Bhayanak Maut. That theater usually shows movies like, "Raat ka andhera, tere andar mera" and stuff. The police was conducting raids and stuff in those days so they decided they should have an English movie going. "In Hindi" of course. So the apparent feeling of joy and gusto in "In English" is pretty understandable.

Hilarious puns about the advertising btw. Especially Son-y of a bitch. I didn't have a lot of hopes with this movie. Turns out it's even worse. I will watch it anyway.

@Ankur: Yes, I know most places don't have the up to date syllabus which has always led me to thinking whether studying in colleges for four years does really make a difference or not? I have a feeling it's just the degree. They teach you what you have to do during those one month training before the jobs, anyway. I know I need to take my own initiative and that I did, I tried learning CSS online, did manage to succeed for some part but ultimately gave up on it because of the situation that was prevailing at home. I know I whine about it too much but I lose interest in things very easily. There is nothing I have been able to find that would glue me to it for more than a year and stuff. And that is my shortcoming and I've got nobody else to blame for that. It's just that I'm still waiting for that something which makes me go, "Yes, this is it. This is what I wanna do in life." If I don't manage to find it, I'll just be another face in the crowd and that'll be okay with me because it was my own decision, not because somebody forced me into it.

I had absolutely no idea about BarCamp Punjab. Quite frankly I saw BarCamps and meetups only after I joined Twitter and started using it actively which was around May. I would surely attend if it happens again and I know about it.

Yes, I know BarCamps and tweetups are informal but the thing is that you always need like-minded people. Obviously you can't just be there alone. That would be a failure. It's just when you develop a circle in your own city that you decide to meet up face to face. And I don't know anyone what so ever from my own city except one of my school friends who chanced upon my blog. The only other person in Punjab I know is LimeIce who's in Jalandhar and then there is Drenched in Chandigarh. That's it. How am I supposed to have a tweetup or something with 3 people all of whom live in different cities which are about more than 60 kilometers apart? But if BarCamp Punjab was a success, maybe I just don't know enough people from the state and am in the wrong circle. I don't know.

@Perx: You know I don't even know how to react to that. Just try and figure something out that you like is all I can say.

@Ankur: Yeah, that was me. And yeah, that was one of the reasons that killed my interest as far as computers are concerned. Another one being that the course isn't up to date and you don't end up any brighter than you were before you actually joined. Not that I didn't know that but the fact that the people in the college are not exactly willing to learn doesn't help things much. Most of the people out there just want to mug, pass exams and have the time of their life at college and the mentality of the teachers also works like that.I don't care about what people say, people have been telling me to do get a degree and then do whatever I want for a while now but I decided not to. That's not how it works for me

And as far as being confused is concerned:-

1. Yes, in fact I have noticed the Voice Tap thing on your blog. I will give it a try, definitely. I've been thinking about going to a career counselor for a while now but it's just that I'm finding it a little difficult to do the same without alarming the parents.

2. I agree about the being more pro-active part but the thing is, you say all this because you're in a city like Delhi. A city such as mine doesn't offer you many opportunities. There would be hardly like 2 bloggers and 5 twitterers in the entire city and trust me I don't think I wouldn't wanna meet most of them. Book launches and stuff doesn't happen in here. Hell even music CD's take 1 year or so to finally make their way to the local Planet M. The only careers that work in this city are Engineering, MBA and a little bit of medical etc. So you can always get counseling regarding this but blogging and twitter is something new and so not commercially viable out here. I've been dying to attend a tweet-up and meet people who I know online but it's just not possible unless I come to Delhi whenever something is organised and with college and the rest of the stuff going on, that is just not possible. So the primary agenda is to somehow escape the city and go somewhere bigger. And currently I don't see anyway the folks would do that without me joining a good MBA college outside. And well, I am kind of interested in Entrepreneurship/Marketing so I decided to play along.

@Reema: The prospect of me being around still blogging in 10 years would be history in so many ways. Firstly it would be history because this will be one thing that I carried on beyond 5 years. Moreover, do you think blogging as a social platform has it in itself to survive 10 more years? I seriously doubt. Twitter has already seriously dented blogging's market and with more social networking things coming up, I think blogging is going to become completely obsolete in another couple of years. I'm glad you'll still be around commenting, though. :)

@Ankur: Hahaha, that got tooo emo, didn't it? I felt that way. And no, I'm obviously not taking their emo shit philosophy as a guiding light for myself. It's just that I like playing with their songs lyrically to make some sentences up, you know what I mean? This is what I keep telling my dad. Me liking them doesn't necessarily mean I'll follow their ideas. Quite frankly, I don't have the balls to wear tons of eyeshadow, get my entire body tattooed like shit and go around. That doesn't even interest me.

@Sahil: Yes, you're absolutely right about the engineering kids. As I say, I've been there and I've seen them. And that kind of attitude is saddening. But they're not the only ones to blame for it. In fact, I wouldn't blame that all. It's all this fucking society that has created such a big hue and cry about engineering from an IIT or a PEC and stuff like that as if there's nothing better in life you can do. When a kid hears all that crap, obviously he wants to achieve it, even if he cares about what happens after you get into the IIT or not.

And yeah, my problem precisely is that currently, there is absolutely nothing that excites me. Nothing that makes me go, "Ooh, this is FUN!". It was computers for some part of last year but even that interest seems to have vanished now. And somewhere I've got myself to blame for not researching what all can be done. And at times its the hostility you face from the parents when you tell them you wanna do mass communication or something like that. Till now, I haven't really been able to convince them, or for that matter, myself on what I really really want to do in life.

@Vasudha P: That is what I think. It will come to me naturally, it's just that it's getting a little too late and the situations and the happenings in the society are not helping things much. I've been like this for a long time but sometimes it just gets to my head. You know, you can say that screw the parents and ignore whatever they say but it does get to you to see them congratulating your friend and wondering when you would be able to make them proud and happy like that. I precisely left engineering because I did not want to do a desk job like everybody else but something that gives me happiness. Maybe I could do a desk job but it's just that it should be relevant and should satisfy and make me happy. The money surely can't be the only factor in life.

I've not met many such teenagers. And that precisely is the problem. I sit around and think where I'm going. And I just keep thinking and go nowhere. I can understand not having an aim but it's about time I had an idea because I can't wait for it for very long now. I need to be independent and support myself. It just does not feel right to just depend on the parents for everything and not give them any happiness whatsoever in return. You know what I mean?

And LOL, I know that got too emo. Perhaps I should edit it. Perhaps I will.

@Shuvi: I've been an engineering student so I know all that. I've met so many people for whom priority is not which type of engineering they are doing, priority is just which college they are doing it from. The problem with me is that I can't tag along and do that. I can't slog for something I don't even want to do and something that doesn't even interest me one bit but the mother doesn't understand that. Actually she does understand but she's had more experience in life than I have and she just says that I should slog for some time, get a degree and then do whatever I want. But that doesn't work for me. I try doing it, get lost somewhere in between and things come back to square one. That's why I say my brain is the enemy. I have a bad habit of thinking too much about things which causes all my issues. If I'd been normal enough to tag along with the rest of the kids, you probably wouldn't have seen half the posts that are out here.

Lol no, it's not about you telling me but the fact that you are right when you say that the Indian bands need our support more than a Green Day does. And they deserve all the support and the recognition which they are not getting right now. I'm quite liking some bands on the Launch Pad thing on Channel V. MTV instead is playing absolute shit crap as it always has been.

Planet M is lame, I know but there's not much of an option. There's also a Music World out here which is even worse. So basically you just have to rely on the Planet M guys to come up with something and usually they disappoint. I'm pretty sure they still haven't gotten the Viva La Vida CD I asked them to get. When you can't get a Grammy winning album of like the biggest band ever, how can you expect Indian Rock out here? I'm not exactly sure if they'll have 21st Century Breakdown but the guy "assured" me so lets just wait and watch.

Yes, I also thought about the idea of integrating Bollywood and Indian bands to bring them up. While it certainly does seem possible, it's gonna take a long time because Bollywood would really need to adjust itself. First thing they'll have to do is that they'll have to stop having the hero and the heroine singing the song. They should rather just have the song playing in the background. Thankfully that has started happening, I saw it being put to reasonable use in a movie called Metro if you've seen it. Next thing of course would be to be able to digest Rock music. This will take long. The so called Rock in Bollywood right now is the songs of Mukesh Bhatt movies and something like a Rock On. While some songs in Rock On were good but they can hardly be called proper Rock. And not everybody liked it too. I don't see Bollywood and bands integrating till we get done with people like Himesh and have music directors give a chance to new artists, bands and stuff like A.R. Rahman does sometimes.

Phew, long reply this. :/

Great post. Couldn't have agreed more with you. Indian bands are VERY VERY talented but the people just fail to notice it somehow. I guess it's about brands and labels. We've not got any big labels around here who would be willing to give a chance to upcoming bands but that's how they do it in the West. It's pretty difficult being a Rock Band out here. And now you make me wanna buy some Indian artist too. But I think I just love Green Day too much and would still end up buying 21st Century Breakdown. I think I have money to buy an Indian artist too, actually. Must look out. I hope Planet M has some decent collections this time around. Last time it was just horrible.

Oh, and MTV did play quite a lot of Raghu Dixit when his album came out. And they play quite a lot of Agnee too because the guys over at the MTV management love them. Other than that it's all Bollywood and stuff. I think they should have an entirely new channel for Rock music, something like the desi version of vh1 maybe where they can feature these artists, their gigs and stuff like that.

@Ankur: Oh, I did hear about notices being passed to all those channels but I didn't know it was because of the AXE advert. And that was so unnecessary because it wasn't even a girl doing the exposing. Wtf, there was no exposing what-so-ever. Just the girls eating the guy. Not everyone had to take it the sexy way. Yeah, AXN did get banned completely but again I thought that was because of some crazy show they used to show towards the night. I don't remember the name. History Channel also seems to be trying its luck with all the documentaries and biographies they keep showing. Once they showed some album cover which had 20 nude chicks on it. Created quite a ripple. vh1 too is taking a dangerous decision. We can only wait and watch. I think "ass" is now allowed on TV, isn't it? MTV has a show called Kickass mornings for God's sake.

Nah, the mainstream ones would never do that. Zee MGM I believe was the only channel that did show some stuff. (read the 'Striptease' kinds).

@Cat: Lol, thanks!

@Ranko: If you read Greatbong's article, he mentions SRK's lack of enthusiasm in this season of IPL and it's pretty evident. I never expected him to leave the team and come back to India, though. That was pretty lame, but then again, what would you do if your team decided to perform like that? Something keeps going wrong for them all the time. And I think SRK figured it was about time he did some nice movie because his popularity chart AND his back account must be going southward with the disasters called Billu and all.

@Wild Iris: See? You didn't even notice that my template changed! Actually, nevermind. It only just changed a week back because my CSS upgrade expired and I had to go back to WordPress templates. This is my original template, remember?

Yea! I actually stretched a word. Like wicked cool, isn't it?! That's my way of bouncing up and down the room and running on streets naked! Omg!

Ah, so your favorite channels are the Star World, AXN, HBO kinds? I never got to watch many of the TV shows because nobody else at home is interested. All I watched was a season of LOST and around 2 seasons of 24. 24 was ruddy brilliant, I have to say.

vh1 is a fairly good but yea, you just mentioned the problem yourself. You have to face quite a few lame songs before a good one. But I guess they've got to cater to all genres so that much is acceptable. It can't solely be a Rock channel or something but yea, they do have specific shows where they play only rock songs and stuff. Plus there are additional shows and concerts like vh1 Storytellers and Pimp My Ride

@Ankur: Ah, no wonder South Park made it to TV so silently then. I'm almost sure they're gonna serve it a notice or something. It'll be sad if something happens to vh1 because of that cause it's the only "decent" music channel around.

And no no, no 'Striptease' porn. I'm talking about the real thing here. I don't know much because I was pretty young and not into all of this then but from what I've heard, there was this Russian channel called REN TV which showed normal English/foreign movies just like Zee MGM did and stuff. But every Wednesday late into the night, they used to air porn movies. Not the XXX kinds but the soft porn kinds with frontal nudity, sex and so on. By the time I was old enough to figure all of that out, someone complained and the cable operator banned the channel. I have never seen it since. What a waste.

Oh good, thanks for the link!

@Soham: Yes, I'm glad South Park is coming to India but as everybody has pointed out in the comments, I wonder how nice and effective it would be with all the censoring.

You're right. Fake IPL blogger's recent post has been pretty boring and monotonous. I guess that had to happen. I'm sure he can see the end near with KKR virtually out of the IPL 2009. No point in carrying on the hype, is there? He said he would reveal his identity after their last match though, let's see what he does there.

I'm not supporting anybody in IPL this time. Oh, and you actually enjoyed the PFHOI contest during last year's IPL? I thought it was lame and that is why I didn't think about redoing it this year. I had plans about having a contest where we were supposed to predict the team which would lose the match but then because of lack of inspiration ane because I was a little depressed during the start of the IPL, I didn't get around to doing it. I'm really sorry to have disappointed you!

@Perx: Nothing new, even we didn't get vh1 till some months back. That is when FW Cable which we get here decided to install Set Top Boxes for 500 bucks each. It was a blessing, I must confess.

I deleted the previous post because it was pointless and because I thought this post would turn out to be better. I'm really trying to find the old me and this post was closer to that.

And the ZooZoo's? Well, no comments.

@Priya: Yeaa, they really look alike! As soon as this James Morrison video started on vh1, I was like, "WTF, why his Chris Martin doing a solo song?".

Yeah, I think we've already agreed on the part about Ankur being right about everything. I think with all the cons it has, I might as well just download and watch or stream. I really don't get the TV at any time of the day these days.

Impatience is the new life ad is very good! It's a refreshing change from the stupid BSNL ones and even the stupid Airtel ones featuring Vidya Balan. I'm pretty sure it's been made by young people. It's almost a cult thing if you ask me. And ZooZoo's, well, nevermind. I guess I'll just have to live with people loving them.

I'm gonna buy the 21st Century Breakdown CD because Green Day is the favorite band and somehow I really wanna own the original album and pay for it, you know what I mean? Meanwhile, I showed mom a bit of Green Day today morning on vh1 and I don't think she disliked them a lot. Thank God they weren't playing Basket Case or Longview, though. :P

Oh, I'm not trying the cream and onion thing, sorry. I hate that flavour in Lays as well. I'm not into the exotic flavors, you see. That is exactly why I haven't tried Bingo till date. All their flavors have shady names.

And I'm glad you noticed that this was a typical me post. I'm very very glad actually. THIS is why I deleted the previous post. That wasn't me. This was. I actually might just be back! Woohoo!

@Aditi: Wait a second, I really look like what/whom? I think you got something wrong.

Agree with what you say about MTV. Rannvijay is pretty cool. Nikhil used to be cool at one point when he did MTV Super Select but something's gone wrong with him now. And hey, Mia going around in that towel wasn't such a bad site after all. :P

I know they have repeat telecasts but do you really think my mom would actually agree to watching a repeat telecast just so I can watch South Park? Nope, she wouldn't. It's HER TV. :/

@Maddie: You know you could just copy that comment and paste it again and you'll get my reply. It's the ABSOLUTE same here! :P

@Ankur: Lol, typing @Ankur felt weird. I though this would be sent to you as a DM or something. Twitter addiction? I don't know.

But yeah, you're right about that. I'm actually very surprised how South Park got through the censor board in the first place. I have a feeling they didn't even watch it before approving it. Maybe they'll wake up when some despo would file a complaint against all the, um, objectionable content and then simply ban it. This keeps happening with them English movie channels which show pornographic movies at night, don't it? I specifically remember a channel called Ren TV which used to do this. It was quite a topic of discussion back at school. :P

Oh yeah, I've seen all the dubbing thing going on on Star Movies and it's very lame. It completely destroys the fun. Not only are they misleading but they are also very distracting. I wish there was an option to turn them off. But Zee Studio and Con Air? This is something new I've heard. It must've been hilarious!

I have a fairly decent broadband connection and downloading the episodes it will be. That time slot is totally #FAIL for me anyway. Oh shite!

@Vasudha: Yeah, I know it shows up in the feed. I don't know, it looked too boring and unnecessary to me, and hence the delete button. And thankies to all those people who read my blog, I'd written that in the previous post, actually. Totally forgot it here. You reckon I should've just let the old post be?

I agree with Ankur too. Agreed it'll be thanda samosa but at least it'll be there. I'm just looking at in a way that there are better things to come.

#%@$ me? :-O

Okay, I'm sorry. I'm fine with Missy Eliott as such but the sight of honeybees all over her face was just depressing. It was not so much about her face. Honeybees on anybody's face would be a disturbing sight.

You know, you're right about that, actually. Even your messages never had text speak and they never felt formal. Maybe I'm just being over-critical? Yea, that's it I think.

@Espera: It's not just you. Even I'm a big fan of vh1. I mean, how can you not like a channel which has shows like Storytellers and Pimp My Ride going? It's ruddy brilliant!

I've never really tried Bingo for some reason. I don't really believe in experimenting and Bingo has all kinds of crazy flavors. Anyway, since you like 'em, any flavor recommendations?

Youtube, no. Downloading, yes. Youtube takes too much time to buffer and my patience runs out during that. Torrents FTW!

@Poonam: Lol, I don't know. Everyone tells me my SMSes are too formal and I kind of agree with them. English grammar was meant for SMSes, was it? But I have gotten so used to using it that it has become impossible to shift to txt-speak.

I'm glad you agree with my opinion about Kiri. Although everyone was congratulating him on losing to the stronger contender but in the end, he lost. That's the point. The No-Man guy won and he didn't deserve it. He should've been chucked out. I think Kiri just over-did his luck.

This post will be. And aww, I really thought you would have to say! I was thinking of you when I wrote the point about Na Aana Is Des Laado because nobody else notices them! Personally, my Aana is Des Laado and Balika Vadhu puns are my favorite. :P

@Perx: Yeah, most of the youth seems to think so but clearly Advaniji and BJP don't. They've spent so much on e-campaigning that it seems they're expecting the entire generation to come up and vote for them.

I agree with whatever you've said about Slumdog but India always has this tendency of "claiming" things which are somehow related to them. I've seen this happening when you have NRI's who don't give two hoots about the country becoming popular. Everyone wants to bring home the fact that they were essentially Indian.

@Jalal: OMG LOL, was that picture a joke or was he really inaugrating the gym? Must've been hilarious!

@Amit: Yes, Rahman definitely deserved the awards. The Oscar people would be surprised if they hear Roja, Taal, Dil Se etc. I thought Jai Ho wasn't that great a song. And then I heard this version of Pussycat Dolls doing it, totally destroyed the entire song.

Yeah, entertaining movies don't usually win Oscars. Poor Dark Knight wasn't even nominated.

@Nova: Yes, I think the reaction is justified to some extent as well. It's been a long time and finally people know there's a country called India. Although Slumdog didn't exactly show a rosy image of the country but nonetheless, it has arrived.

Yes, we have never been able to get over the superiority of the British. How else can you explain the fetish for fair skin?

@Poonam: Yes, I know. That is why I said most people would go gaga by it. You somehow always manage to hit the point. I couldn't agree with that post more.

Yeah, SM was a good movie as such but nothing extraordinary. Personally I'd rather give Swades the Oscar. But that movie never really reached the places it should have. And I loved Rahman's music in that as well. That guy is a genius and totally deserves all the adulation he's getting.

Yeah, newspapers, blogs, technology websites. Advaniji is everywhere.

@Ashish: Oh yea, I noticed him on Techcrunch too. But I really should shuttup now. :P

@Vasudha: Oh well, I was there in that list till some days back too but finally I decided to take the dip. Didn't live up to the hype for me, at least. Anil Kapoor did a good job at destroying it. So all in all, no need to run and catch it. You can always watch it when it comes around.

Oh you did? I thought I was the only one cause everyone would say he was "convincing". Well, only KD was convincing for me. Thank God Rampal didn't have anymore dialogues. He could have ruined it. He's only there to hold the guitar and look good, I guess.

@Aditi: Hey! Thanks for visiting the blog. I'm glad you identify with what I've written. Quite a few of us have been there and done that, don't you think?

I think every Indian blogger must've written a post about Slumdog, maybe positive or negative. It got A LOT of hype. Most of the initial reviews were awed by the movie and the ones who thought it was just okay started trickling in pretty late.

@Anshul: Ouch, that was a horrible reply. I would've really kicked that person. Such people say they can't hear anything bad about their country. I guess they don't even understand what that means. Oh wait, was this guy even Indian?

@wasshappening: Yes, Slumdog had it's moments but it wasn't all that good. I liked the crap scene by the way. The idea behind that was pretty neat. But yea, the scene as such was disgusting visually.

Rahman totally deserved the Oscar and I wish Gulzar was there too. He's very unknown comparatively. Him and Javed Akhtar have written many many nice songs. Javed Akhtar is still a bit more popular. The lyricists don't get their due, I think.

Dark Knight deserved a nomination absolutely. Its cinematography, story and Heath Ledger all combined to make it something extraordinary. Sadly it was very mainstream and the Oscars don't really consider that. They need something different. Bah!

@Arvind: Nah, Heath Ledger was never gonna win best actor. He wasn't the protagonist in the movie, so. It was always gonna be supporting actor and I was very sure he'd win it. He was a great guy and I loved the courage which his family showed while accepting the award.

I think Slumdog is an Oscar movie, but not really an Oscar best movie. I think Danny Boyle deserved Best Director for going in a somewhat unchartered territory.

@Jalal: Lol yeah, wasn't a very rememberable scene, that.

@Aditi: Yep, I got the link, thanks!

Well, the first thought that came to my mind was that this person is living some 10 years in history. It's not like that anymore, is it? Every person, whether man or woman has the right to do what they wish to. Fixed rules, regulations and duties doesn't work in today's world. A family could work anyway, the female could be working and the man could be managing the house. And kids and everything is the duty of both the parents, not just the woman. If anything else, she's kept the kid in her stomach for 9 months already so she already has an advantage in the working for the kid department. It's the guy who needs to catch up.

I think that was a very nice thing you just did. Very good.

As the stats show, child labour is a major issue in India. The other day we were having a debate on that topic and most people thought it was a bad practice and were against it. But the thing is, nobody reports child labour. The simple reply goes, "Why should we? We don't want unnecessary trouble". The problem of child labour will not go away only if you decide to not have a servant at your home. You must go and report about everyone who does.

Even my brother and bhabhi sent e-invitations. But then, they scanned the actual card and sent it to give it a little bit of a personal touch. Technology is changing things alright, things work differently now. You can't go looking for that personal feel that one used to have in letters. It's the e-mail world now. If it's good, or bad, I don't know.

Social Networking websites, while a great idea, tend to get boring after a time. When you talk to old friends once in a while, you feel good. But on things like Orkut, you can talk to them all the time and eventually you get bored.

And I didn't know Rab Ne Bana Di was inspired by this movie. I thought it was gonna be something about a simple and middle class guy falling in love with a much younger girl. But then my friends told me that SRK has two looks in this movie. Then I saw a couple of pictures of the other look of SRK. Actually I thought SRK was looking stupid at first but when you see it 2 or 3 times, you start liking him like that. I think it's something most people would associate with. There are definitely more people like that in our country than the six pack ones. The attention to detail of Adi Chopra surprises me. Even SRK's shoes are like those sports shoes that common middle class people wear, not the flat ones that most people in big cities wear nowadays.
Omg, couldn't agree more.

1. I hate it when random people come up and call me Ishu. It's stupid. I don't like that name and I so don't know you.

2. Oh yeah, I'm sick of those e-mails too. And even text-messages for that matter.

3. Fair enough. And when you don't know English, please don't go around singing English songs. And that too in college fests. But the best part is, you might just end up winning because all the others would be equally (or more) horrible. Can you imagine hard rock drums in "My Heart Will Go On". Well, I just got to hear them sometime back. Any thing can happen in India, really.

4. Using correct English doesn't make you a nerd either. When you don't know how to say "Pankha on karo" in English, don't go around saying "On the Fan!" in the class. And don't call others nerds when they tell you it's supposed to be "Switch on the fan". Blah.

5. Oh yeah, text-speak. I'm so not into that. I'm incapable of writing like that, really. And it's a pain when even your teachers decide to send you assignments and shit on e-mail in that language. Tech Savvy doesn't mean you start using txt-spk.

I don't know how people move. You're talking about moving moving. I'm talking about moving from a room downstairs to a room upstairs. I'm changing rooms, yep. And its a nightmare. Everyday I keep losing something or the other, them earbuds for example.

And I wonder why mom always insists on being around when I'm checking out my stuff to see what has to be kept and what not. Now, how am I supposed to explain to her why I'm keeping certain things? I love my toys and absolutely refuse to throw them away. There's this tiger, and this aeroplane. And then there's other er "personal" stuff which I can't explain to her. For example there's this register which one of my like "big time crushes" touched once upon a time. And I absolutely refuse to chuck that away. How are you supposed to explain that to your mother?!

I never understand the people who can keep throwing things away and replacing them with new stuff. I don't think I can do that. I don't part away with things easily anyway. I like my stuff.

Er, and was I supposed to give packing tips in this post? I think I gave everything other than that. :/

I remember these incidents from school too. But somehow, I don't miss it. I never did. I was never attached to school or maybe it was just the last 2 years in which I fell from grace, had teachers and parents barking at me all the time. During the days I was leaving schools, there were many other people who were doing that, and they were all nostalgic and stuff. And me? I didn't know what to feel. I know I've hated every teacher there. I didn't have many friends in the last 2 years because somehow in our school, people talk to you only when you get the marks. Maybe if I was average-ish, I would've really missed school big time. Had too many friends ditching me in that place. There's just only 2 or 3 that I talk to now.

@Sporadic: Ah yes, the mental system. That's been on a holiday since 8th grade if you ask my parents. The bloody thing refuses to come back! :P

I kinda liked the earbuds, yea. They did get annoying after a while but for an occasional song or two, they were nice. Anyway, headphones for the win now!

Happy Diwali again. :)

@Vasudha: Oh come on, you've got to be kidding me. This wasn't intersting. Or even close to hilarious for that matter.

Parent-teacher meeting, yes sir. And I know how it sounds like school all over again. It's totally horrible. I'm sure they will have prepared report cards and stuff too. And I thought all that shit was over. Blah. A new post, I hope that comes up soon enough.

Happy Diwali!

Seminars and presentations, I've become used to that now. We're required to give a presentation on some subject or the other every 2 weeks. If we get to choose our own partners, then good. Otherwise I end up writing everything and begging my partners to just learn it and puke it out during the presentation. They don't even do that, bleh.

The new header is VERY COOL!

Ah, reminds me of school. Except everyday of mine used to be like this. It would all start with the Maths period. I would sleep 'cause it was so boring. And the teacher used to hate me because he thought I was gonna be the only one who would flunk in Maths and ruin the oh so fucking brilliant 100% result of the school. And then there was Physics. The same teacher taught me for 2 years and he still didn't know my name on the last day of 12th. He did know that I was supremely lame though. Then, Chemistry. I hated that asshole teacher and he hated me right back. Basically everyone hated me..so you get the drift right? So, er, don't think too much and chill.

Why did you have to sing in class though? I would be mortified at the thought, anyway. And singing an English song in my college. Wahahah. Nobody would understand a thing of what I'd be singing. :/

I love this theme btw. Thought of using it a number of times but gave up because you can't customize the sidebar. Bleh

And tooth-Xrays. Haha. I never had such an interesting one. When I had my first xray, I was old enough to understand that this was gonna be the most harmless part of the entire thing. :/
