agreed!! i sent this email to twitter HQ back in march... i guess their answer was "no." http://urltea.com/12lo?email-to-twitter just re-read and realize how funny it sounds to talk about scoble having nearly 1000 followers. oh how things have changed! anyhoo, i think we should start a campaign to get twitter to make it optional.

+1 to adding "from Twitteroo" @Twit: right-click the twitteroo icon in the system tray to change preferences suggestion: twitter currently automatically changes any URL over 30 characters long to a tinyurl. you should do the same w/ rurl. it's a great service, but get rid of the extra click!

the peeps over at 30boxes have described their hope for connectedness among "buddies" as "situational awareness". i like the term...it's not exactly the same as "ambient intimacy" or how myspace has redefined the word "friend," but it's along the same lines. i'm fully on board with the lifestream concept, and like the ideas you bring up in your post. kudos.
