A gorgeous rose, and how lovely to be covered in rose petals. Like you say it isn’t often that happens. I didn’t know you could get chives that flowered. I must look for some of those. Chives are my favourite herb of all, I think. A couple of the plants in my garden seem like they won’t survive the winter – we’re having it now as I’m in Australia – and all my Hibiscus got a nasty aphid attack which wasn’t very friendly for them. I do think that our former neighbors son has the rent set to low. It’s only something like $1000! You can’t even rent a bachelor apartment in a decent area of this city for that low a price … so maybe if the new renters move out in the near future and the owners decide to keep on renting we’ll suggest they up the price by $400 or so. That should bring a better class of renter into the neighborhood. I’m saying this because it seems the new renters just don’t care (just like the last ones). Today they were blasting music so loud I could feel it and our houses aren’t attached to each other! I felt bad for their neighbor on the other side (who’s house is attached to theirs) because she’s in her 80’s and I’m sure it was really loud and irritating for her. Why is it that some people who rent homes just don’t care about their closest neighbors?

I got an extra rose in my garden. There is one in the front I didn’t plant. I am not sure how that happened. There are no buds on it yet, so possibly it is some old briar grapht that possibly was under the mound of earth.mine is up

What rules do you follow to have a link be followed in your comments, and how did you manage to set it up that way? If the rules are good rules (meant to keep out mindless spam, but still allows good posts to be followed), then I am interested in trying to set that up on my own blog. I don’t know if that would exclude it from your list or not, but avoiding spam while still bringing good people to the site sounds great!

Actually a lot of lab owners have told us that it takes them about two or three years to settle down so I think we’ll probably be using the crate until we can be fairly sure that she won’t ever chew the furniture while we’re out!I just tried to load my copy of the blogroll and it wouldn’t work so I visited blogrolling.com and the page/site says fatal error so they are probably having some kind of server problem right now. Once they fix that our blogrolls should be loading again. Thanks for letting me know that it wasn’t loading.

I crate trained my puppy and it worked wonderfully! (He’s 4 years old now, and still cute as can be.) It was the first time I tried crate training, and if I ever get another puppy, I’m definitely using this method again. Tricia, I know the feeling with the bowels I had chemo therapy last year and they've never been the same since. That plugin hasn’t been updated since 2007 and last week I was looking for replacements for some of my older “haven’t been updated forever” plugins and I found one called No Follow Free that has pretty much all the same features that I loved about Lucia’s Linky love … key features being the ability to control when a link becomes do follow .. ie after a commenter leaves 2, 3 or more links etc. Most of the other dofollow plugins simply make all comment links follow, but if you want more control over things a plugin like NoFollow Free is great. Give that one a try. Especially if you are looking for more control over your do follow links.The first plugin I list is Sem Do follow and that just automatically makes all nofollow comment links do follow. I don’t think you have to set anything up. The Nofollow free works as soon as you activate it as well, but you can go to the settings page and customize it to your liking.BTW were you looking for a Do follow plugin so that you could join this list? If so, please let me know so I can give you the blogroll info.

It was the first time I tried crate training, and if I ever get another puppy, I’m definitely using this method again.
