David, I didn't know Rense was that controversial, and honestly, most of what he links to holds no interest for me and I don't read it. But that he promotes some information that is either inaccurate or disagreeable to many doesn't mean that nothing he posts or links to is true. And the article I linked to is by Richard Cook, not by Rense. I happen to believe there IS a conspiracy to impoverish Americans and that there are many who believe that the world's population should be reduced by whatever means possible.

Hoarding food? Why not? Let me tell you... I went to the store a few days ago and found a product I normally bought without concern had suddenly increased in price so much, I will possibly never buy it again. I WISH I had bought a case of it a month ago, or maybe even three cases. I'm already living at a poverty level and these price increases are hitting pretty hard.

Thanks for reading my article, even if you took offense at a link source and didn't agree that food storage is worthwhile.

About "refusing to comply with a service plan" - I do not recommend that parents refuse to comply. What I recommend is that their LAWYERS should bring issues about the plan to the judge's attention and let him know when certain aspects of the service plan are inappropriate, unnecessary, and a waste of taxpayer money. As a LAWYER, that is YOUR DUTY. You are supposed to represent your client, not the county that's making money hand over fist with social security reimbursements by demanding unnecessary "services".

MH - everyone has the right to proper (aggressive) representation regardless of how impoverished they may be. The fact that you think they don't have that right shows what kind of attorney you are. The letter is INTENDED to put bad lawyers on the defensive and make them THINK that maybe they could be sued if they don't do the right thing.

Anyone who has ever been to juvenile court with a do-nothing public defender will know exactly what I mean.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with more domains than sites! I have 23 domain names. Earlier this year I decided to buckle down and do something about them. Six somains of local interest are being sold off in a four-figure deal to a friend. She's planning on staying here; I'm not. Of the others, three belong to other people but are registered on my account.

That leaves me with 14 domains. All but one have a blog up on them now, though 2 of the blogs still need to be developed. I have an inspiration for the 14th which will become a collaborative blogging project. And now I'm very hesitant to buy any more domain names. That's a lot of blogging! I may have to sell a few of the remaining sites off to keep my sanity. Anyhow, thanks for letting me know I'm not the only domain buyer out of control here.

Morgan, I'm glad to hear your sites are doing so well. I don't know where they are; you didn't leave any URLs for us to follow.

I honestly don't understand why people have been taking content off this site and posting it elsewhere without linking back to this site. But I'm sure if you were a writer, and producing lots of content for your site, you'd feel the same way I do about seeing it posted elsewhere as if someone else wrote it. That's plagiarism. So many sites didn't even mention my name or the site where they found the text. It just got to be too much after a while. People should be more considerate. I have put heart and soul into this site and even had my own family attacked by CPS because of the work I do here.

To "Confused & Irritated" - I'm glad you're reading this site so you can see the rest of the story. Read the post right before yours.

I agree that some people need to be educated about how they must treat their children. And I know some people shouldn't have their children at home at all.

The problem is that CPS is taking a good idea and turning it into a nightmare for a lot of loving and viable families that may need some help, but not the total destruction and devastation that CPS intervention causes. CPS is like a beast that continuously needs more to feed on. When it can't get truly abusive families, it picks on families with marginal problems that should not be handled in the same traumatic way.

Not only that, there are insidious internal flaws in the way these cases are handled in juvenile courtrooms. DUE PROCESS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS ARE NOT HONORED! Parents in juvenile court don't get the same constitutional safeguards that CRIMINALS do!

Not only that, but many children in the system have family members willing to take them in but Kinship Care rights are not being honored by social welfare agents. It is a CRIME against humanity to destroy so many families. It is traumatic and devastatingfor the children themselves, who are often put on strong psychotropic drugs to control their PTS.
