Great review Paul. I almost forgot that I was subscribed to the service. After I dropped the yearly fee and began using the service on a daily (almost hourly) basis, the realization that a renewal at years end totally slipped my mind. The service definitely pays for itself.

I haven’t frequented the boards in awhile but I do know that there is one feature I am yearning for… The option to search through read items rather than having to scroll through manually. With so much content coming through, I sometimes forget to flag or tag an item of interest and am forced to go through the history by hand.

Aside from that little minor detail, I would never hesitate to recommend the service to others. Alex King and the gang have a superb support group and often answer bugs or reports in the forums near quickly.

It really wouldn't matter who your host was as long as you had access to the mail exchanges settings. Google Hosted is quite a drastic change from the default Squirrel Mail that most servers are running.

this may push me over the edge to convince myself to reinvest in a new macbook or imac.

while news that bootcamp will allow dual booting is worthy of celebration, i hope that i never have to “service” apple hardware for spyware / adware infestations. new switchers will need to understand that running windows on apple hardware does not make you invincible.

28% shrinkage for me... and i didn't even have to get wet.

i'm sitting on the fence regarding css tweaking utilities such as css tweak. on one hand they work wonders as far as removing whitespace [cutting down on filesize]. on the other.. well there's a reason why some people add indentations. i guess everyone has their own way of organizing their code.

what i want to see is a tweaking utility that automatically indents in relation to parent id's / class's.

i wrote something up concerning box.net. i was fortunate enough to get a peak of the service before the revamped version was unveiled. the service is definitely one of the better, if not best, free online file storage service. of course, upgrades for heavy users are available. one noticeable feature which i depended on for finding uploaded files was the livesearch-like capability.

i had a few issues with the desktop browser interface loading the control center. not sure what is causing the issue. popup blockers are cleared for mabber.
