Regarding your desire to chang

Regarding your desire to change to a different drug than Lexapro because it causes weight-gain, there really is *no* conflict between doing that and taking a stand against dieting.

Say your doctor had given you an antibiotic that caused you to develop a rash. You would undoubtedly ask your doctor to change your medication to one that doesn’t cause a rash. In your situation, the side effect is weight gain - but its not weight gain caused by unhealthy eating habits, it’s an artificial, medically-induced malfunction in your body’s ability to use fuel properly.

Dieting - as you noted - is altering your eating habits solely for the purpose of losing weight. In your situation, however, I’m assuming you’ve not altered your eating habits since starting on Lexapro, correct? I also assume you won’t alter them if you’re given another drug. If you’re not changing your eating habits, then - by definition - you’re not dieting. Any weight loss that results from a change in medication will come about by correcting that artificial malfunction that the medication is causing.

There’s really no comparison between the two.

Ducky, my may, I must say you have IMPECCABLE taste in the gents! I think my Neil collection is now my third largest behind only my Alex Lifeson collection (who was *amazingly* hot when he was younger and who I still find *incredibly* sexy just because of how his guitar playing makes me feel) and my Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (no explanation, I presume, eh?)

I mean, I've been a fan of Neil's ever since Hok got cut (insert sighs, wailing, gnashing of teeth and other sound and sighs of withdrawal and grief here), but those movement pictures are something else again! I'm just sitting here right now being very, very, very grateful that you are the kind of guy who'll share that sort of a treasure with us, your humble visitors, and even MORE glad that women don't have to deal with... uh... is there a polite term for "blue balls"? LOL! :D

I thought this was an excellent episode. I love the scene in Peck's movie "The Marked" where he showed the final confrontation where Isabelle killed Matthew - no one else could have known what happened between them, so for me, at that point in the episode, it convinced me that his writings were truthful.

The thing with Tom is going to be very interesting - I still haven't figured out for sure who are the good guys and who are the bad ones. I mean, I know Tom (as long as HE's the one in control of his body) and Diana are our heroes, and that based on what they know of the situation they are doing what they believe is right - but beyond that it gets really confusing. We have Shawn's people/followers, Jordan's, the people from the future who want to prevent the catastrophe, those who want to keep the future as it is, and that doesn't even begin to get into the various cross-purposes the government seems to be working at! And since we don't know what the catastrophe is, it's hard to know if it should be prevented or not.

The moral ambiguity here is a bit like the situation during "Heroes" first season -you had the earlier generation (Linderman, Mrs. Petrelli, etc.) who knew that a huge explosion would be occurring and, because they believed it would unite humanity, they wanted to ensure that it happened. And, of course, we had Hiro who had seen what happened after the explosion, including the persecution of people with abilities. So he and the current generation wanted to prevent it. Each side believed they were working for the greater good - which could likely be said of both those who created the 4400s and the Future Elite.

It's making for some very exciting television, though! I love that I can't easily see what's going to happen or how things are going to play out.
