Waiting for Opera 9 now.

All I can say tis that this post is total non-sense, though I agree with your last point that states it is viable, and actually businesses should look and consider Linux as an alternative to Windows.

LOTD - is not a phrase that I have used ever and neither will.

I have been using Linux for years now and can say that one can today use Linux as desktop OS. Believe me, at least with Linux you know that your data on PC is secure and much much safer than with Windows.

And I am not a Linux "freak" - I am quite a regular user as perhaps you are and find myself very comfortable with Linux.

Regarding Windows - you wanna say Vista is ready - hell no - too many new stuff and half of them just make the user ineraction with the desktop even more cumbursome .... plus quarter of them do not work properly + plus an OS with billions spent and 90% has driver issues with hardwares!

For me it's surely CPU, which past 5-6 years has been AMD only.

Sidenote: My first AMD = i386DX

But then again, I look at CPU from motherboards perspective. If you have seen my profile on PC specs on my blog, you can understand that it's overclocking and getting max is what I am interested.

So if I put my priority list, it will look something like:

1. CPU+Mobo+Cooling ---> RAM ---> Video ---> Storage --> PSU->Audio
2. Display --> Keyboard+Mouse
3. Case + Modding (if I still have money)

Interesting statement. As you said, lots of friends of mine ask me what is torrent and how to use it - maybe instead of recommending azureus i should point to utorrent. As you said "If the users are downloading to "My docs > downloads", then obviously they are not quite ready for Azureus" - I guess you are right.

Once they get hang of this, maybe then they can switch to azureus.

How does uTorrent compare to Azureus, as it is my favourite BitTorrent client. Since Azureus is a Java based application, and open source, it will run on any java supported platform. Also, the fact that it is open source, free, and contains NO ADWARE, makes this an excellent choice for someone looking for a bittorrent client.
