        <content>Thank you.
I have a 6-centimetre-thick foam board underneath the "damper", above the fireplace, at the entrance to the chimney. I will add lots of caulking where the foam meets the brick, so warm, most air does not enter the chimney. And I suppose I'll allow the insulation bags to be less than 100% air tight.</content>

<content>Hmmm, I just read: "If you do not use your fireplace, you may want to seal off and insulate the chimney. Be sure, however, to provide some ventilation for the flue. If you fail to provide ventilation, condensation will form in the chimney." (Lowes.com) Do you know how I could do that without letting the cold air in?</content>

<content>Thanks. I had a similar idea - using only one bag - but your method is better. Even if my one bag effectively stops cold air from entering the chimney from above, the other bags will provide much-wanted wall insulation.</content>

<content>We need a program to download linked videos without opening the page.

In YouTube, if I see a display of 20 video thumbnails, and I want to download all of them, I have to load each page, and then go to each page, download, and close each page. FlashGot would work if the links were to the videos themselves, but the links are to each video's webpage, so FlashGot doesn't work (as far as I know).

Does anyone have the answer?</content>

<content>This is by far one of your simpler reviews - it does not have dozens of images or videos or analyses of different components - but the review is perfect for this software. (A longer review would be too long for this software.) How could anyone give this article a rating less than 5 stars?
Ashraf, may I say you are a gift from God/Allah. I know a lot of highly intelligent people, but it blows my mind that you can write reviews (+ instructions + demonstrations + comparisons) of this quality almost every day, while also studying for your courses, and living. What you write (and image) in a few hours is often far superior to what software companies and magazines write in who-knows-who-long. (Yes, I know some of your articles are quotations from the software developers; I know it's not 'all you'.) I hope this is rewarding enough (enjoyable, skill/knowledge-growing, income-generating/career-advancing) for you to continue this great service to .. well, the world. (I don't mean to pressure you to keep doing this forever; I mean to say thank you for all you have done.)
Thanks,
Jonathon,

<content>Since "vLite and nLite cannot add applications", I will use them if I want a custom Windows Install, but I will happily use MultiSet to install all my other software. Hurray! Thank God for MultiSet!

Ashraf, since I joined 4 days ago I've been thanking God/Allah for you, but today I'm disappointed you did not appreciate what MultiSet does that vLite does not do.

Do you think a program could make multiple-software installations automatic without using the 'macro-record' method?

If we already have the software installed, can we do a [virtual/pretend] install so MultiSet can record our answers to the installation prompts, or do we have to uninstall our software then install it again so MultiSet can record our installation?

That would be a big negative to MultiSet. Is it so?</content>

McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said the "attacks mark a new low from Barack Obama."

<content>I expected a simple morality tale - good for giving my Mom a night out, but without mature meaning. I started watching it with kind thoughts for these young artists, but before long I was swept up in the drama - not only was it astoundingly funny in many moments, Everyouth was me (and I'm 34). Shockingly insightful - for every one. Yes, I cried. After a standing ovation, I left beaming, grown and growing.</content>

<content>But I can't edit files using Tunnelier. In WinSCP I can click a file and it will open in whatever program I have associated with that filetype, so I can edit a php file in SciTE or Notepad++, then click save, and it will save straight to the remote server.
Still I want an alternative to WinSCP because, although it would automatically reconnect if I saved my password, it warns against saving your password. Guessing, it seems Tunnelier stores the password for the duration of the session - it doesn't save it permanently, but it keeps it ready to automatically reconnect.
My host automatically disconnects SFTP connections at irregular intervals, but usually between 2 seconds(!) and 2 minutes, regardless of whether there is activity or not. Why do they do that? They would prefer I use insecure FTP?
Do you know if:
- I can make Tunnelier edit files? (I like that it uses less CPU and is faster.)
- I can make WinSCP store passwords for the session?
- FileZilla will ever be able to support Secure FTP?</content>

In my htaccess file I had:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .htm .html

so the hreview html files were being processes as PHP.

A year ago, as I was trying to integrate my original static html site into my new dynamic php site, I read that I should insert that line into my htaccess file. The reasoning seemed cloudy to me, but I knew nothing then, and the author sounded confident. Anyway, that was the problem.

It works now - thanks!</content>

Some dastardly plugin created an htaccess file in wp-content/plugins/

I deleted it! (I wonder what that will do!?)

Which plugin did that? If I find out, I'll post it here.

Clue: The file has a last changed date of February 15, 2006. That's not the date it arrived on my site; it may be the date the plugin was last updated - perhaps I can find a plugin with other files last updated on that date.</content>

On the wp-admin/options ..., I selected Link Checker, then clicked "Recheck". It returned "No broken links found". Surely it should say "No new broken links found".

Then I checked Manage - Broken Links, and this time it only showed 3 broken links. I re-loaded the page, and it showed 6, then 11, then 60 then 139, then 181, then 189.

All the above false positives appeared again.

Suggestion:

Add a field/column: Status (published/ draft/ private/ pending moderation/ ...)

Perhaps also allow filtering by status.

I have 211 broken links, but 175 are from 7 draft emails.

(They were published, but I had already found they were a mess, so the proper status is un-published - I wish we could designate them as such, not as drafts, but sorry, that's not about your plugin.)

It would be easier to deal with the broken links if I could only address the published ones.

OR

Add an ignore list, so I can check a box, or copy and paste something, or if need be enter the post id#, so that those broken links won't display, but a note will, reminding: "the following posts/pages are on your ignore list - they may contain broken links not listed above".

Thanks again.</content>

When I click on the bookmarklet, the firebux box appears o n the bottom, but the status bar is stuck on

“Downloading data http://getfirebug.com/firebug/firebug.css…“

I checked that http://getfirebug.com/firebug/firebug.css exists (it does), and that the script does not include those trailing dots (...) (it does not).

David had the same problem, but apparently fixed it - he wrote "I just changed the course of the css file to one on my server."

Can the css file really be any css file? Should I copy the firebug.css file to my server? Since the file exists at getfirebug.com, is this really the problem?

I tried what David did - I copied firebug.css to my website and, using Notepad++ to edit firebug.js, I changed http://getfirebug.com/firebug/firebug.css to http://imagiscape.ca/web/firebug.css. I did not make a typing error or cut off the &amp;gt; or &amp;lt; tags surrounding the url. The file saved properly.

Now when I click the bookmarklet, I get:

   Internet Explorer cannot load .

        <content>Otto and others,
Good suggestion Otto - On the Options-&amp;gt;General page, I tried setting the blog and site urls to have the ending slash in them, but upon saving changes ("Update Options"), WordPress automatically cut the trailing slashes . (I tried / (forward slash) and \ (backslash, I believe).)
Help!?
Thank you.</content>
