A beautiful pledge to the benefits of meditation John. I saw and felt clearly your experience of becoming an adult. A wonderful achievement.

Re: Untitled and in progress

The simplicity of poetry always pleases me. This poem says 'I walk, I am' to me... the basis for life is existence and movement. Good work in my opinion.

John,

Thank you for the thoughts. I really do need to explore faith a little more. I've not ever taken a close look at what my own faith represents. It's been shrouded in fog and perhaps letting go of the 'reasoning' that kept it limited, I can progress a little towards a deeper commitment and understanding of it's important role.

I have not figured out where these lyrics originated but I do enjoy them.

"I am the faith that leaves your spirit strong"

This line in particular reminds me of an ever persistent issue I've had in my life and perhaps explains why I have such a hard time when my faith dwindles. I've never looked at the connection between faith and the soul before but it makes sense. My most troubled and dark times are those when I lose faith, and consequently lose connection with my self/soul.

Very interesting story John. I like it. 155 comments on it. Wow. I'm not familiar with reddit but yes, I agree, it's crazy to try and solve a mystery that is almost 20 years old, but hey! give them their fancy! It could inspire a host of further stories that sweep the blogosphere into a crazy out of control wonderland... in fact, has that already happened?

I love the title 'Me me me'... Someone needed to do it!

Regarding best post of 2007 at the beginning of the year... I thought the same question. But who am I to judge the sanity of it? Perhaps it was a typo along the way, or perhaps the mindset of bloggers is lacking in attention that couldn't possibly look further than a couple of months? Perhaps it was math? Or perhaps the one who started this meme wasn't blogging in 2006?
Trying to find the sensibility slightly confused me so I just took the gift horse and didn't bother to look him inside out.

Thanks for pointing out the story. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Hey Kim!

Thanks for dropping by...
We could use some help. First let me start with my latest discovery. The difference between a blog and a website is that you can only make current posts to the front page (or explained another way - only one page of a blog... please see main page as I want the other members to read this as well...
Thanks... and second, please create your own wordpress account. After that I need your user name and email so I can add you to Japan In Toronto... but don't do that here. You'll have to get my personal email which I don't want to publicize here... hmmm I'm thinking how to do that. I should have gotten it from you in class! LOL! Just go ahead and create the wordpress account for yourself (go to wordpress.com) and we'll worry about the rest later. If I can't get you in before next Saturday, then we can do it AFTER next Saturday when I see you! Thanks again Kim

Hi Blogosquare,

I'm probably just an old woman to you, but I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your blog, even though you are probably younger than my own daughter, LOL.

It just goes to show you, you never know who your audience is going to be!

By the way... do you do the drawings yourself? I like them.
