RE: "One of the biggest arguments that I often hear to a “volunteer” missions approach is the expense of travel. Some would say that it is a better investment to train and support a single, full-time missionary family to reach an area. But, as I “crunch the numbers,” the REAP strategy is actually a less expensive approach. As we field four teams of six people each per year, our church will spend roughly $36,000 … much less than the cost of a full-time missionary. And all of the ministry is concentrated in a specific geographical location, among a target group of people."

Very interesting observation. I look forward to following how this works out, and the lessons you learn along the way. Will your team members also be engaged in language learning and cultural orientation?</content>
