Bravo for you!! Too many people whine "I'm too old to learn how to X" when given the opportunity. They don't know what they are missing out on -- the idea is to have fun, not to be perfect. Oh, speaking of which, I've just started taking bellydance lessons :-).

Interesting point, but some of us do FAR better with Twitter than at a real-life cocktail party. For me, it's because I process information far better visually than audibly. In a crowd, the noise of many conversations just runs together into an overwhelming, indecipherable roar for me, even if I am trying to focus on talking with one or two people right there with me.

One way we live frugally but well is by not having cable or satellite TV. That helps limit our television time, which limits our exposure to advertising! Also, I have a small artisan business on the side, and even though I have a tax ID and therefore can buy supplies for wholesale, I get with other local artisans and combine orders for supplies, which saves on delivery costs and ensures we meet minimum order requirements.

I have an interesting problem -- my name is too long (by two characters) to fit into the name field on my Twitter profile! So my business name goes there, as it is just barely short enough. What I'm trying in order to get my actual name on my Twitter profile page is to put it as the first item in my bio. However, since I have a hyphenated last name, I still end up being the only one with that name when you search it on Google, so I am certainly findable on Google.
