It's like apples and oranges. Both are useful but in completely different ways. I use LinkedIn for more formal interactions. It's like wearing a suit to an interview. Facebook is more for fun but it can be a great networking tool. I can throw a sheep at people who I would not normally email out of the blue. It's a great ice breaker.
