Do you mean invested in our bank accounts? It can be seen where it went. It went to start up large new government agencies that we all have the pleasure of interacting with at the airports. It went to waging a very unpopular BIPARTISAN war that in spite of numerous complaints and the wishes of the voting public has never ceased to be funded at increasingly high levels. You might also see some of this money in the 'prescription drug benefit' that was deemed worthy of nearly another trillion dollars in appropriations over time. It went to phony stimulus checks which were nothing more than borrowing from the future to spend on Christmas today. What there is no guilt about on the part of either of the main preceding generations "The Greatest (what a crock) Generation" and The Baby Boomers is that fact that they have set in motion every possible scenario for enslaving their children to a bleak economic future and a bankrupt nation. Two generations that publicly spend so much time professing how we must do this or that for the children have hoisted upon these children debt liabilities in the Trillions. The economy will never grow at a level necessary to cover these promises. And in spite of knowledge that this is the case none of the preceding groups has any willingness to relinquish their claims. Be it guns or butter or both... the most selfish of generations took the country and bled it dry.
