        <content>I think I have figured out a way round this, it seems if you try to install the package by right clicking and doing "Install DEB file" but don't have a password it doesn't like it. As an alternative you can install it from the command line:

Click on the link above for the package file
Save it to &lt;b&gt;/home/user&lt;/b&gt;
Open a terminal by pressing Alt+Ctrl+T at the same time
You should be in the /home/user directory, this will show up in green to the left of the cursor. If you are not enter &lt;b&gt;cd /home/user&lt;/b&gt;
Enter: &lt;b&gt;sudo dpkg -i e169g_switch_0.3_all.deb&lt;/b&gt; this should install the package for you, you should see a message saying &lt;i&gt;Setting up e169g-switch ...&lt;/i&gt;
