The vast majority of people are never going to be members of the "creative class". As long as I have the option to be free of the community, I see no reason to deprive it of others different from me.

As a Stirnerite egoist and by temperament rather unsociable I'm averse to communitarianism. However, I do see some merit in it as a competitor with and bulwark against the large, distant, bureaucratic central authority.

They're dumb. Babies brains kept expanding while the mother's waist couldn't keep up, so they are less independent when they are born than other animals (I believe deer can walk from the start, for instance). A lot of learning must take place during those early years, including the notion that there are some things not to be stuck in mouths.

Mao broke with the Soviets when Kruschev said Stalin had went too far (this was around the time the U.S supported them in the Sino-Soviet split).

He supports immigration from countries with populations he considered more intelligent and productive, like–um–Europe. Which in addition to being rather racist

Do you actually disagree on that being the case? Were you unaware of the different IQ scores between Europeans and Latin Americans, or do you think those scores are irrelevant to the issue of "intellligence"? Regarding productivity, Garett Jones has shown it closely tracks the average intelligence of the country the immigrant came from.

This is my own conviction: *principled* objections in *action* would go far to making the necessary arguments to these people. I am still convinced that there is enough of a political conscience remaining in this country to which to appeal with demonstrations of action from principle by those with the courage of conviction.

Whatever makes you think that?
