Eventually, the warmists will have to concede that the evidence for their hypothesis is not conclusive. At best, they can say that AGW is more likely than not. Attempting to avoid it would consume a large fraction of our economies and probably not have much effect. You may have noticed that the less convincing the evidence, the more passionate the belief. People have gone to war regularly over religion and ideology, but never for mathematics. Even conceding that AGW is real, however, the consequences are unlikely to be disastrous. For eons afterwards, one could – and some did – walk from Belgium to Ireland, from New Guinea to Tasmania, and from Siberia to Alaska. The sea rose, but we survived. The worst-case scenario in the IPCC report is a 7 meter rise, and I suspect we can survive that, too.

eu pego e levo pra casa. Ja cansei desse negocio de ficar escolhendo, o problema é o tal do adoçante. Te explico tem alguns que nao sao pra adiabeticos, eles sao apenas adoçantes, tem outros feito de frutas, tem de todo tipo. E pior, tem o light e o 0 açucar. Way to go! Very good for your first hike ever. Aren't trekking poles great? I use them to take some of the weight off my legs and keep me from pitching over when I'm tired. Works like a charm. Just read today that people who walk with poles are happier than those who walk without. Must be the cool factor. ;) Check the bookstore there for Ben Gadd's Handbook of the Canadian Rockies. It'll tell you everything you need to know to go out on your own. Don't forget the bear spray! :)

Jeff, if you want to see an attack, go question anything you read at a blog "on the other side" of this issue, or evolution, or science vs. God, etc. They'll take it personally and go for blood out of the box. The people here don't care nearly so much about someone disagreeing with them. Sure, they like to argue, huff & puff, turn off the spell checker and all that, but it's generally not personal unless you make it.
